Solise Gets the SSMM Stamp of Approval!
31 Oct
I love to tailgate. Give me some beer and BBQ, and I’m set to watch any football game. The harsh Cleveland weather can be brutal, especially during football season. For those of you who have never been to Cleveland, The Cleveland Browns Stadium, as well as all of the tailgating lots, are located DIRECTLY on Lake Erie. The wind from the lake can make the wind chill even more frigid. I always take care to layer my clothes and bundle up so I don’t freeze to death, but I never wear sunscreen, and I get burned. Every. Year.
My skin is rather fair, so I burn very easily. One thing I forget to think about, along with a lot of other people is that just because it’s winter, that doesn’t mean rays from the sun aren’t hitting you.
I was contacted by a marketing representative from Solise, A Daily SunCare Company, to test out a new product for a review on my blog. A free beauty product to review?? Absolutely!!
Solise offers a line of body and hand wash with an SPF 15. I was a little skeptical at first, because I’ve never heard of a body wash with SPF already in it.
Since I haven’t been tailgating yet this year, I needed another opportunity to put it to the test. I went hiking last weekend, and it turned out to be a pretty sunny day for October, so I decided to try it out.
The first thing I noticed was the scent. It has a very nice clean and natural scent. Sort of reminded me of a newborn baby smell. I like soaps and body washes with light scents so they don’t overpower or mix with my perfume.
Solise is formulated with natural emollients and skin conditioners, so as I lathered it on, it was very moisturizing without being greasy at all. It felt so great on my body, I attempted to…. wait for it…. try it on my face with the risk of.. *GASP!!* BREAKING OUT!!! Not only did it leave my face feeling really hydrated, I didn’t get a single zit, because Solise is Non-Comedogenic, which means it won’t clog your pores.
After being out in the afternoon sun for about three hours, I came home that evening and my face didn’t have a freckle on it.
I’m going tailgating this weekend, and I can’t wait to try it on my face again. Stay tuned to see how it stands up to tailgating conditions in the Muni Lot, and four quarters of sun exposure.
Here’s a few other great features of Solise:
